    Ford 9n - 6 volt - won't start backup?

    Tractor will run for 40 to 60 minutes then die will not start? New 6 volt battery, new points and condenser, new plugs? Getting plenty of fuel to carb. Can pull start it? After running for 15 minutes or so shut off and will not start back up?

    Had my Ford Ferguson 9n about 1 1/2 now love it. So my son was using it, first he said tractor was starting to loose power, starting spitting and sputtering and then died will not start back up. 6 volt gas. So I get out there sure enough will not start, drop nut on bottom of carburetor plenty...

    Let update my Ford tractor. 3 speed, 4 cylinder gas Key with push button start / the push button does go to a starter button in which I was calling a solenoid - sorry.

    Thank you all that answered. I may just go purchase new solenoid for the price.

    Tractor was running fine, stalled and would not turn over, found loose nut on solenoid, I tighten it and still will not start at push button start. I can put a screw driver on solenoid and it will start right up and run fine. I did install new solenoid, battery cables and resister for wiring...
