    11 rims

I went to put on new tires on the 77 this weekend and it turns out the rims are junk. Anyone know where to purchase new 11" x 38" rims for a 12.4 -38 tire? All I can find is a 10" or 12" rim. Anyone have any used rims they want to part with. Located in central Iowa.

    Oliver 77 Engine weight

Anybody know the approximate weight of a 77 engine? The engine is stuck so I have pulled it from the tractor and am going to do a complete rebuild. I am trying to decide what engine stand to purchase. Would a 1000 lb engine stand be fine or should I get the heavy duty 2000 lb engine stand?

    Stuck Engine on Oliver 77

Greg, thanks for the info. The cylinder is stuck at the bottom of the stroke so I will try something other than rocking the wheel. I also agree with you that a complete overhaul is more than the tractor is worth. It was overhauled in the 70's and hasn't done much other than rake hay and run...

    Stuck Engine on Oliver 77

Old, it took a couple weeks before I thought about it and realized any water would be at the bottom (duh). So I sucked out all the solution, made sure there was no water and filled her up again. Thanks for the suggestions!

    Stuck Engine on Oliver 77

I have an Oliver 77 (thanks to all who helped figure out what I have) that I just picked up and the engine is stuck. It sat outside for the last 7 years and the muffler rusted off and got water down the exhaust. This is the first time I have dealt with a stuck engine so any help is appreciated...

    Oliver 77 Question

Now that I know what this is, the real question is how to get it running. Unfortunately, it was parked outside for the last 7 years or so and the muffler rusted off unknowingly. It got water down the exhaust manifold and now the engine is stuck (just the #5 cylinder). I pulled the spark plugs...

    Oliver 77 Question

Sorry for the delay in responding. The tractor is actually at my Dad's house and had to have him get the information. The casting number on the block is 185220 M100. It has 2 belts, 1 for the radiator and 1 for the alternator. Would this be a Super 77 engine or the original engine from the...

    Oliver 77 Question

An early '51 sounds about right. The brake housings are pressed steel and the id tag is on the right side of the transmission. My great grandfather supposedly bought it in 50 or 51 and it has been on the family farm since. I'm curious as to what happened to the frame?
