    if its tuned up right it isn't a problem. it will start fine.

    mine was totally erratic, and sounded much like yours, turned out after new ignition parts, carb, every type of adjustment, re tune up, new head gaskets and on and on it was the governor buffer spring. if nothing else just pull it out and flush out the socket of the spring with Brake Kleen...

    Starting restoration of a IH 100 Balanced head mower

    I called and talked to Webbs Sickle service when i worked on my pitman mower, and i can not say enough about them. They have a bunch of Made In America parts, and the prices are the best. They also have great help and customer service, look them up and talk to them.
