Found a number after cleaning with carb cleaner, (860) top number then 16066 is the bottom number so I take this to be a 1953 making it an NAA, but it does have the 5 sped transmission which I found the shift Pattern on the top of the Transmission housing when I cleaned it off also.

    Ford 145 Garden Tractor

What direction does the Hydro static transmission have to be driven on a Ford 145 Garden tractor??? Just installed a doner motor and have no action what so ever from the transmission. Does it make a difference if it is driven from the front of the motor or the rear???
