    rust welded lug nuts

I'll take the valve stem out of the other one. It had to come off with a cutting torch and the metal around the hole does not look happy. No doubt some repairing to be done but one wheel is done!

    Oliver 1355, 1365, 1450

I am looking for crossover parts to go on the 1450. It looks like the exhaust elbow from the 1355 mates with the manifold on a 1450. My front wheels are 7.5 x 18 and may come off in pieces as well as missing lug bolts. Could the lugs on a 1450 only exist for 1450's? Why of course they could...

    rust welded lug nuts

Yes, the bolt head and the flange side. Then both to red. Then just the bolt from both sides to bright red. That brown stuff was the axle grease that blew out. It was foamy enough to fill a coffee can and looks like someone crapped on the tire. Somethings gotta give!

    rust welded lug nuts

I'm sure the archives have this but I don't know how to search them. I bought new front tires for the Oliver 1450. The wheels are being difficult. The breaker bar is broken. The impact wrench is in the wrong league. The torches have brought metal to bright red. 2 of the 6 lugs are just...

Gary? I'll be looking for parts soon... My 1450 is still working strong!

Bending an exhaust pipe in place.

I really wish I could do that! The exhaust is cast steel from the muffler to the exhaust manifold. It has a cast flange that mates the manifolds. There is not another one on this continent. If I blow it it gets sawn off and cobbled. If the exhaust manifold breaks the tractor is scrap iron.

    Welding rod question

If you long arc the rod and pause at your start puddle the rod will dry itself. The pause will blow out the flux before you start moving. I keep 6013's for general use. 6011"s for dirty metal and root passes and the hallowed 7018"s for structural stuff. Tractors put more stress on welds than...

Bending an exhaust pipe in place.

They are waiting for me. I can have another U bent by them. Prolly have to clamp it on though because the metal might be to weak for mig. Every bolt is assumed to be rusted to where it will break before it moves.

    Lost

I'd need to be really careful with that one. There might be a good reason that whatever I wanted the most had been lost, eh? Box is a metaphor, right? It's like gonna take a barge just to choose from. Hopefully my first girlfriend is near the top. lol

Bending an exhaust pipe in place.

Thanks! Plus heat shields where needed. Would you heat all the way around or just the part that need to stretch back?

Bending an exhaust pipe in place.

Oliver 1450 so taking anything apart in never a good idea. I'm wondering about trying to bend this back using a torch before I give up and saw it off before the bend. I don't know why they are upside down... Newby issue. [/img]

    Worst Oliver tractor

I just purchased a 1967 Oliver 1450... I like it, easy starting, powerful and doesn't drink fluids or smoke. I had the 1410 loader and a 6' bushhog rotary cutter. Just browsing through the thread it seems that a drive from Va to PA would be worth getting some parts. I've tried adjusting the...
