I looked into that combo, just not enough room. Decided to mount a Saginaw unit like Dono-MN did. Found a Charlyn torque motor from my wife's uncle who has a salvage yard in CO. When I get it done I'll post some photos.

If you been reading the post, the reason I want PS is because I swap a narrow front with a wide front on my SC with a loader on it. So to answer your question, of course it’s harder to steer.

That tractor is what all of my siblings and grandkids learned how to drive any vehicle. My wife pulling with 200 we use to own. I’ve probably forgot more than you know about the C series. I won’t go into my pulling SC’s of which I’ve built over the years.

I’ve been operating SC’s since I was 4 years old and now I’m 71. A 1953 SC was my dad’s first “brand new” tractor. I currently own 3 SC’s and a 230. Steering has never been an issue until I mounted a loader on one of my SC’s. When I had the narrow front it wasn’t a problem, but with the HD wide...

Steering wasn’t a problem when I had a narrow front. Bought a 230 a couple weeks ago and it had a heavy duty WFE which the axel tube is 11” shorter than a regular WFE. Swap the front ends to be more stable when loader is at extreme heights.

Of course! It’s just that I have a front end loader on the SC along with a WFE makes for strong arm steering. I’m not as young as I was.

Let’s see some photos please. The Tractor Doctor in the Red Power Magazine installed an electric steering motor on his A. I saved that article there’s not really enough open steering shaft for that large of unit. Just wondering if anyone has added PS to the C series and how they did it.

Wide front with a FEL. I was thinking a Charlyn Torque motor mounted somewhere on the steering shaft. Just wondering if anyone has ever done it. Thinking also of an electric unit.

Has anyone ever put power steering on a C series (C-230)?

    Hydraulic Lines for Backhoe 1710

Thanks Gentlemen for the advice, however I found a Power Beyond Block that's meant to power a Backhoe. I know it'll be slow, but that's how the backhoes were attached when you bought a BH from the dealer without remotes. Parts catalog don't show it, but was a special attachment.
