    Oliver 1550 power steering problem

    My late uncle had this 1550 NF, & now my cousin is having a problem with the power steering, it's almost impossible to even turn the steering wheel, even when you're moving. I'm sure it has something to do with the pump, but not that well versed on the Olivers, & this was my uncle's first...

    starter pull lever on 53 stage 1 Super H

    I too have a 53 Super H with the pull rod for the starter, always felt it was a step backwards, as I had a 41 H that had the push button starter switch mounted on the steering post.The foot lever starter would be nice, however, sometimes they can be accidently stepped on !

    240U still not starting

    Could be a bad battery, take it out & have it tested under load. As it quiting after it starts, sounds like a fuel issue, don't know if the 240U are cold blooded, more choke for a longer time ?

    Exhaust Manifolds

    Question for you guys, Someone on E-Bay has A "High Performance Manifold" listed, states for a propane tractor, but claims will boost performance on gas, Really?, or is this guy just blowing smoke? Mine is a 53 Super H, would something like this make it a Super Super H ? Just kidding !

    Get it rebuilt, most of the new replacement ones are from India or China, had problems with the one I got for my 41 H.
