What's the latest you ever baled hay?

No record but for me Nov 30th this year! First it was too dry, then I had to wait out the rain. Got a forecast of 4 dry days and took a chance and cut 10 acres. Made good grass hay but I stressed out about rain every day it sat in the field drying. I am in North East Texas. Andrew.

    Now THAT was close

Well you made out better then I did. I was mowing on a Ford 8N and since it is small I was doing near the trees. As I when under a low branch I leaned over and my Samsung Note 3 slipped from my shirt pocket, I grabbed for it as I felt it move but only managed to swat it down right in front of...

    Coyotes are back!

Here in N.E. Texas the closest "city" to us Winnsboro (Pop 3,500) has issued a alert about packs of coyotes attacking domestic animals. We live about 4 miles East of town on a creek and hear the coyote packs most every night. I will say that over the past 4 or 5 years the size of the packs...

    trans split IH 444

Do you have both halves of the tractor well supported? is it binding up as you try to pull it apart? I split my IH444 about a year ago and it came apart pretty easily, but I had both front and rear halves supported really well. I also made long pins to replace the bell housing bolts to keep...

    drum mowers

We upgraded from a sickle bar mower to a drum mower about two years ago, one of the best things we ever did! Once you use a drum mower you won't want to go back to a sickle bar mower. I have a SFI 165 two drum mower and it cuts as fast as I can drive the tractor down the row. Blades last me...
