    Belt width Cub Cadet 682

You need to be careful with aftermarket belts. The "V" depth is not as much as origional equipment belt. I have had great service with Gates "A" and "B" series belts or Dayco "AP" and "BP" belts on my machines.

    Cub cadet 1210 value

The 1210 replaced the 1250. The engine is a Magnum 12 instead of a K301. The frame, hood, dash and transaxle are different-all 82 series. The transaxle is the big aluminum housing with the heavy axles and fine spline carrier. They are definately a step up from the quietline tractors-they are...

    7010 motor swap

Fairly easy swap but you won't like fuel difference between the two. personally I would fix the 301--uses about half the fuel.

    Snowblower for Cub Cadet 149

I went with a 1" smaller pully on the driven side. Throws the light snow about 20 ft. and heavy snow about 10 ft.

    Snowblower for Cub Cadet 149

You can also put a smaller pulley on the gearbox to speed up the snow thrower. Works much better. They take some practice to learn how to make them work right.

    Kohler K 301

The block and crankshaft on the JD engine are different. Block has mounting ears which will hit the frame of the Cub Cadet. The crankshaft is longer than the Cub Cadet. The "A" is for automatic compression release.

    john deer 400 engine parts

Try OPE engine parts. The pistons and rings are the same as a K301 12hp engine. Gaskets run around $70. I think connecting rods were around $70 each.

best cub to buy & why

Such a loaded question--being an owner of many Cub Cadets, I prefer the 1872/2072/1912/1914 Super Cubs. You can put almost any mower deck on them and many parts interchange with older machines. Second choices would be 1811/1711/782. Almost any engine can be put into this chassis.

    no heat in 8550

Take roof off of the cab and clean out the dust and dirt. Feel the hoses going to the heater core to see if they are as hot as the radiator hoses. Core could be clogged also.
