    Wire Harness for 1949 8N with front distributor

    Thanks guys. The wires that were in the tube originally were 5 small wires plus the 4 plug wires. I bought a new harness and it is cloth wrapped and that is so thick it does not even want to fit. Nonetheless still have the plug wires that have to fit. And the whole wire harness is just to short...

    Wire Harness for 1949 8N with front distributor

    Can anyone help me figure out why the wire harness I ordered from Davis Tractor Parts was too short? When I ran the wires through the tube, the end that goes to the starter was too short to reach it and then also too short to reach the coil. I am totally confused. Any ideas?

    ford 8n wiring diagram

    In my last post requesting a wiring diagram for a Ford 8N I was wrong. It is a 6 volt and has not been converted to 12. Also has a front mount distributor (squarecan). Sure would appreciate any help with the gauge of the wires also. Thanks
