    Thank you! I think that is what is happening. It has worn quite a groove in the sleeve and then it must be binding causing the governor to not slide freely. Have not seen any where I can get a new sleeve.

    I have the governor off the tractor and see that the brass sleeve has a rather deep groove worn in it and is rough. I do not see this part listed for sale in various parts catalogs. Are the interior governor parts the same in the late B as in the early B? Thanks!

    I currently have the governor off the tractor and everything moves freely. However it does feel a little catch as there is a worn spot on the brass sleeve. I have compared mine with the internet and it looks right. I have not taken it apart.

    With the B at idle the governor will not allow the the throttle to increase the engine speed. The governor shows some wear but is in reasonable condition for it's age and is clean and moves freely. When the throttle is advanced it just bends the governor spring. New spring installed. Carb works...
