    now that I have my photo uploaded , the only difference I see is the hose is a little longer on your baler (and your baler got cleaned up better than mine last fall lol )

    My baler is just as old , they made stuff good 40 some odd years ago ! yes mine has the grease zerk , I'm uploading a photo to show you that mine is the same . I agree that its a bit of a strange set up, but in reality its simple and it works !

    I just went out to the machine shed and had a look at my baler and mine looks just like your photo , the crank handle does not go into the bracket because it has to move back and forth when moving the tongue back and forth from field position to transport position

    Remember the baler has to be hooked up your tractor and running in order to adjust the speed of the thrower , if you don't have it running the hose will just twist up in a knot

    Glad you got the photos to upload , that is one sweet looking Oliver , up here in Ontario Canada that would have been a white (painted Cockshutt red )so I have never seen an Oliver in person
