    IH 424 electrical problem

    On the topic of electricity.....I have a digital copy of an EXCELLENT book that goes through electrical troubleshooting that I would be happy to share with anyone who is interested. It is VERY well written and it explains things in layman's terms that are easy to follow.

    The only manual I have currently is from I&T Shop Manuals, IH-10. I have been a mechanic for 22 years and I must say that this manual is pretty terrible. Are there manuals that would be more helpful than this? Currently I am in the process of undoing all of the wiring that had been...

    Got it. Realistically, part out the one that is too far gone. I think that may be better in the long run because one working just fine is much better then two that don't work at all.

    Thanks everyone. My 300U does not have a live PTO or the Torque Amplifier, HOWEVER, I also have a second 300U that is WAY beyond any attempt at restoration and it has the live PTO and TA on it. Would it be feasible to add that PTO system to mine or is that crazy thinking?
