    JD 60 with sheller (pics)

I found this for sale on the side of the road. I'm not sure I've ever seen one with a mounted sheller before. Will a 60 handle it ok while pulling a small wagon? I'll post price if anyone is interested. I can't imagine the owner would mind Ben

    Plow day (pics)

Held our plow day today. First time I ever plowed with my two bottom rope trip plow. Everything went really well. Got a little wet later in the afternoon and eventually we had to pack up due to rain. Other than that it was a wonderful time. Thanks to everyone who gave their input. Ben

What Do You Think? Original 730620

I have been told by several old timers that when the clutch or throwout bearing gets worn that the nut on the end of the shaft can develope play and walk out toward the end cover. I've seen some old tractors where when you disengage the clutch the pulley will move horizontally. I suppose if run...

What Do You Think? Original 730620

The sale was north east of Albion about 4 miles. Just north of 94 on Ludlow rd. There was an older gentleman who was retiring that had owned the tractors for nearly 50 years. The 730 was a second owner. I drove both tractors. 730 had a slow lope at idle. The 620 had a severely worn clutch handle...

What Do You Think? Original 730620

I posted these pics on the tractor talk forum and got a lot of "thats rediculous" responses about the selling prices. I think the 620 is on the high side but not sure if its rediculous given the mechanical condition it was in. What do some of you John Deere 2 cyl collectors think? The 730 was a...

    Strange sighting

Hi, You don't live anywhere near an Enbridge pipeline do you? Your description of the helicopter sounds just like the one we have. They do bi weekly patrols and if they see anyone digging near our pipeline sometimes they will land and give them a good talking to. The pilot will sometimes even...

Question re: holding a plow day

I think you might be right. It is definetly an insurance issue. Our dues are only 15$ per year per family. That barely covers the cost to print and Mail the news letter. Then you have to pay for advertising for our show. That puts us in the hole to pay insurance. We have one of the nicest shows...

Question re: holding a plow day

Jocco and 1206SWMO, thanks for the tips. Our problem is our club insurance. They don't want to cover such an event. Even our show is ruled that there is very limited driving. It is held at a big car museum (Gilmore car museum) and all the proceeds from the gate belong to them so paying our...
