    Doesn't pay to fix this junk anymore. I just bought a new heater from Sam's Club a few month back Kerosene/diesel Heater I think it was 180,000 btu, for $235 shipped to my house. I don't see it online so not sure if they have it anymore.

    Color of metal roof on a farm house

    They have coatings on certain darker colors that make them reflect solar gain, making them very energy efficient. So dark does not mean hot anymore...

    Corn

    I know what you mean. My uncles planted some 90 day corn last year on June 18th, and turned out ok. This year it is just been too wet in the heavy soil area I am in. It is hard to say what will happen, it is a small field, only 1 1/2 acres, so not a big gamble, but I hate gambling, lol.
