Tried Something New
I haven't tried any of the newer expensive sweet corn varieties, but planted a few rows of Ambrosia this year to make my wife happy. I like to plant truckers favorite for cornmeal and watch it get 12-14 ft tall, so I watched this stuff and wondered if it would make anything. Took a while, but...- B. White

back pack sprayers
Had one of these for years. Strap finally broke and the strainer was cracked, so instead of keeping it going I got another and kept the old one for parts. I've got a 16gal that goes on the atv and a 60 gal tow behind, but I use this one for most around the house/muscadine/ garden jobs... -

Cattle herds are at their lowest in 75 years.
My wife has tried bees a couple of times and enjoyed it, but it is another expensive hobby (IMO) considering the time it takes to stay on top of any problems and that they can take off and be gone. I think she finally has given up on it. She has some friends who are very successful with them...- B. White

That may have been a factor with me the other morning, since it was overcast and I didn't grab it as usual was only out for an hour or two and back in early. Be careful if you are getting old and live in an area with high temps this week. It never bothered me until one day when I got close to 60 I stayed on a tractor 6-7 hrs and felt fine....until I got off and started seeing stars. I was a couple of miles down the road and temp gauge in the truck...- B. White

Yes, general statement in regards to any brand with an ECU. Mine happened to be a 2020 NH Workmaster, but have heard the same thing about the others. Looking for a tractor replacement
Just an opinion, since I'm no expert, but do the research on any model interested in and figure out what year they started using proprietary software on a dealer's laptop to troubleshoot or reset/reprogram engine control modules and computers. Stay away from them. Spend less on something anyone...- B. White

Anyone I've ever known who got paid to work on them said keep water away and if you think you need to clean a mower it use air. -

Battery Chargers...
I would have been more surprised if you tested three new ones and they all worked. I try not to buy much new if I can find something at an estate sale, but got burned on the last air compressor I bought to replace an old one. It was easier to repair what was supposed to be new than deal with... -

I've got a an small Schumacher about 40 years old that is still going, but rarely use it now unless the mower needs it when first run in the spring. I've added several of the little Noco Genius charger/maintainers over the past few years to keep the 6 and 12v stuff that doesn't get run as often... -

Shop lighting
I had one go out in about 8 years. There isn't much to them, just a piece of thin metal with ends and bulbs. The ones I use for grow lights get moved around and I figured more than one would have quit by now, but they are still going.- B. White
