    I"m getting ready to put new axle, hub, bearing, etc in my "50 8N Ive attached a photo of my shaft bearing retainer (#4142-B) It looks like the hub has worn into it. Is this what it should look like? And do you think it"s usable as is?

    HI Gang, I put a"new" style bendix on my "52 side mount 12V 8N about 2-1/2 months ago, went out to crank her up yesterday and the @@#!%&&* India import piece of junk blew up!!     Thanks Tim and Sawatch, If I Do the bolt replace thing will the grease get up to the bearing at the top of the shaft? I'm reading that JD corn head grease is the grease of choice. Baretone
