New Guy here Old 1962 Ford 4000 question(s)

I will have too decide what to do next..it's just crazy that a seal blew out and nothing works even close to right now after all I have done to it. my options are limited because it's a simple system but so difficult to diagnose..my valve body is an old AICO branded one so might have to do...

New Guy here Old 1962 Ford 4000 question(s)

I could probably get away with using less height / stroke..when the seal blew on the control valve the loader practically raised up 20 feet..I don't need that if I didn't live out here in the boonies it could possibly make tractor life easier..so I guess here I will be forever searching for...

New Guy here Old 1962 Ford 4000 question(s)

I had replaced the 2 cylinders for the bucket..Maxims at $365 for 2 of them but these loader cylinders are huge and heavy..by todays prices they probably cost around $1000 for 2 if I were lucky...there are no markings / specs or stickers on them like the Maxims I replaced..I am just tired of...

New Guy here Old 1962 Ford 4000 question(s)

I just have the engine revved up and have my dad pull the lever to raise the loader and hold the lever which applies pressure to the pump...I loosen the connection(s) to the hydraulic cylinder(s) until I see and let fluid run out..then shut engine off and check / refill fluid in the tank.. I did...

New Guy here Old 1962 Ford 4000 question(s)

Yes mine has that breather on the outside of the frame tank..I have never taken it off..I un-screw the dipstick to check the fluid level and fill accordingly.. I have read somewhere that these systems are or should be self-bleeding and that seems to be the case on this tractor as well...I am...

New Guy here Old 1962 Ford 4000 question(s)

Heck I'm thinking about putting the Wagner pump back on it if I can't figure this out soon..bad thing is I have to completely fab up a new mounting plate and gussets but if I have to I will..the Wagner pump was working fine..

New Guy here Old 1962 Ford 4000 question(s)

That looks like the suction side with the larger diameter hose..looking at the front end of the tractor the suction side is on the left side of the pump and high pressure smaller diameter hose is on the right side...that's how it was with the original Wagner pump and how it plumbed it with the...

New Guy here Old 1962 Ford 4000 question(s)

That would be amazing if that's what the problem is..I am going out to look at the hose(s) on the front end that come from the pump to see if there's anything that looks like this..if so I might finally be able to figure something out.. it's almost like there isn't enough high pressure to help...
