IH Danco Belly Mower for Cub

You don't say if it's an offset or numbered lowboy, but I think the same Danco spindles were used on both. The numbered lowboys used an IH branded deck with I believe the same spindles used on the Danco decks. So your IH dealer should look for an IH 3160 mower deck for the numbered lowboys. The...

    MF 61 corn picker

I bought a Massey 61 1 row mounted picker with husking bed at an auction today. I don't think it is all thee so I'm going to part it out. The snapping rolls and husking rolls as well as the snouts and elevator all look to be in pretty good condition. I'd sell the whole thing for 150 or sell...

Pwr steering pump leaks into crank case

73 4000 P/S Oil needs topping off frequently, motor oil level is increasing. How about adding 10w40 motor oil to P/S when needed and drain off the crankase as neccessary? I found a reply by Sound Guy on another site suggesting it. Thanks

    Corrigated tin roof

"Plenty of used tin with one good side" means the underside to me. The holes in the peaks, where the nails were, become holes in the valleys when you flip it over to the good side. By your description it sounds like you are ending with the exposed seam on a ridge. You want to end with a seam in...

    Tool of the day

Scraper and spokeshave are similar. Difference is clearance in throat. A spokeshave is making shavings like a hand plane, so the wood has to have room to come up through it. A scraper isn't removing much of anything so no gap is needed for the "scrapeings" to exit.

can't believe you put these two statements in the same post, much less one immediately following the other. It just seems hypocritical to me.

    Mower on farmall cub

he blades on my Woods 42C and Woods 59C mowers on my Cubs both turn clockwise (right hand throw) when looking down at the spindles. Woods makes a 59 (yellowish orange deck) and a 59L (white deck) which is a left hand throw. All the decks are the same just the mounting brackets change and go by...

    Another what is it

The harpoon was the earliest version of hay fork. It was replaced by the two prong versions which were then replaced by the claw types. Each one could lift more hay than the previous and the barn and especially the carrier and track had to be built stronger to accommodate them.

    Cub brakes

rake shoes are probably oil soaked from leaking transmission/rear end seals. Or they could be wore out. Should be able to look through the rear hole (same as the front where the brake rods go through) in the castings with a flashlight and get an idea of what's happening. Could also be brake drum...

Ten million in one account and the "bank" doesn't want to spend a single dime on their own email server. Seems the "bank" is very frugal. Maybe when you're a multimillionaire they can give you some tips!
