    3500 rear end problem

Well I pulled the top cover. The gear looks ok. The input bearing at first looked rusty, but actually it feels like old hardened grease. I found a crack that has been poorly welded. And I found another poorly welded crack in the bottom of the housing that leaks fluid. At this point I may just...

    3500 rear end problem

Can I pull the axle/trumpet as a unit, or do I need to take the brakes off, axle out, etc first?

    3500 rear end problem

I bought a 3500 TLB and have started doing the maintenance that had been neglected for years. I emptied the rear axle fluid, but almost no fluid came out, only a gallon of water. I looked in the fill hole and see what appears to be a tapered roller bearing cage. I tried to pull it out with...

    Points for a 3500

Is there a quality set of points available for a 3500 industrial? I believe it is the same engine as the 3000. I don't mind paying more for a quality brand that can actually open up for the correct gap and the contacts are aligned nicely.

3 pt still drifts down after repair?

I know what you mean by “new parts” the safety relief was a pain since it was an 18mm instead of 11/16”, I of course didn’t have a 18mm stubby wrench. There was another “new” part that I bought that was also drilled incorrectly, and the O-ring for the piston (that came in the piston/cylinder...

3 pt still drifts down after repair?

My three point used to drift down with no implement within a couple minutes of turning off the tractor. I replaced the badly scored piston and cylinder with the newer o ring design. I also replaced the safety relief valve while I had it apart. It still drifts down with no implement attached...

How exactly does 8n make hydraulic pressure?

My 3 point has needed work for a while. I knew a piston and lift cylinder were needed, and one chamber kit came in a parts lot I bought, so I decided to get one more chamber kit and the safety valve and just do all that while it was tore apart. The chamber kits appear to be of varying quality...

    3 point lift cylinder

It is an 8n. And I will be studying my manuals and probably watching some videos again before putting everything together.

    3 point lift cylinder

My lift cylinder is pitted about 2" deep into the open end. Will a 3 stone hone remove this? I kind of doubt it, but will be borrowing one to try soon. If it doesn t remove the pits, where is a place to get quality piston and cylinder?
