Ford 903 post hole auger seals

How do you know how much to put in? Is it thin enough to flow out the check hole?

Ford 903 post hole auger seals

I had to replace both Input and output shaft seals on my 903. If anyone is curious these are the McMaster part numbers. Mine had a double seal on the output, I just went with one seal when replacing it and it seems to be sealing fine.

    Florida Solar panels questions

Yes please. I really don’t want my tax dollars going to any subsidies. Growing crops to burn seems silly. Of course so much farm machinery is geared towards those two crops, I don’t know how those machines translate to food crops.

    Florida Solar panels questions

It is hard to pick out what is the highest if you look at more than just tax credits. Mineral extraction gets very favorable federal land lease prices, eminent domain seizure of private property for pipelines, etc, nuclear gets insured from the feds since no private insurance will take the risk...

    Florida Solar panels questions

I agree there shouldn’t be subsidies for any energy service. It should be fair across the board, but that would mean oil, gas, and nuclear would also lose their handouts.

    Florida Solar panels questions

I am in Michigan, have had a system for about 8 months now, and it was totally worth doing. There are some caveats though. In my opinion it is only worth doing if you can do it yourself. The quotes from solar companies for my system ranged from 45-68k. I did it myself for 11k. And I own it...

Transporting a 3000 trans and rear end

I didn’t think I would learn so much from this thread.

    Ford 4000 steering cylinder

You should just need a pick, seal puller, or a slide hammer and screw to get the ram seal out. The rod doesn’t come out unless you cut the welds.

    Ford 4000 steering cylinder

I bought one of those seal kits for my 3500. The parts were mostly garbage quality, it lasted about 2 minutes before blowing out. I went online to Hercules sealing products and ordered part U18-0.87-31BHT. It is a high quality high pressure hydraulic seal. I believe I reused the rest of my old...

Transporting a 3000 trans and rear end

I bought a rear end/transmission/axles for a 3000. I didn’t want to haul a trailer the distance to get them. The rear axle is too wide to fit between the insides of the bed, so I made a little cribbing to hold the trans off the bed rail. It fits in this way pretty nicely.

    3500 rear end problem

Well I pulled the top cover. The gear looks ok. The input bearing at first looked rusty, but actually it feels like old hardened grease. I found a crack that has been poorly welded. And I found another poorly welded crack in the bottom of the housing that leaks fluid. At this point I may just...
