International 785 at what engine rpm is PTO at 540 rpm?

Some real world advice, don't get hung up on exact PTO speed. It's not going to explode if you are running 539RPM or 541RPM. In fact 540RPM is the "CYA" recommendation from the manufacturer, and the machine is capable of handling quite a bit more. They just bear no responsibility if you're...

Got the fuel tank, now need the horizontal manifold….

Oh, it's definitely not available anymore. Do you have any or all of the original to use as a pattern? If so you can take it to a muffler shop and have them bend you up a new one out of standard exhaust pipe. Otherwise you could always piece something together out of exhaust tubing parts...

I would say, not that much.

    #60 4 bolt plow shares

The 462313R1 part number is a Super Chief Moldboard. It's a Super Chief bottom. Any commonly available 4-bolt Super Chief share will fit it. Bolt hole pattern is the same on all widths. You can put 14", 16", even 22" shares on that bottom if you want. The "Super Chief" is a sticker, and would...

    856 TA Dump Light

Yeah, you saw him adjust the external linkages, BY THE BOOK, which is what you have said to do hundreds of times on this forum over the years. He did not touch the MCV internals, that came later. He did not install a TA on that tractor, though he did a TA on his 856 about three years later...

    856 TA Dump Light

So you drew that conclusion by watching ONE video. That was only the first in a series of videos on the 756, including a two-part video where he went through the MCV. The final determination is that the TA needs to be replaced on the 756, and to my knowledge he has NOT done a TA job on the 756...

Call the one that put in the TA and tell them to come and fix their screw-up.

    Internation Cub Lo-Boy whining

Can't attach videos here. You need to upload them to a video hosting site like youtube and then link them here. Only allowed to attach pictures directly. Anyway, it's called the "Cub whine" and every Cub has it to some extent. It's caused by the straight cut gears. Did you by chance change the...

    International 350 Disc Harrow

It's a disc that spends its time in the dust and dirt. God knows how/if the previous owner ever greased it. There is probably dirt and dried up old grease packed in the channel behind the zerk. That's assuming the zerk is aligned to the grease hole in the bearing. That's assuming the bearings...

    BIG BOY at the auction

This video shows the process of cab removal for transport. It's a little ham-fisted, being Andrew Camarata and all, but the job gets done with minimal damage. I guess with the cab off it makes it under the 13'6" limit on a lowboy trailer.

    Hydraulic Oil

Honestly I don't think that's too bad considering you got the parts for a 70-ish year old tractor from the ORIGNAL MANUFACTURER. People fail to stop and consider how many hundreds of tractor models have come and gone in that timeframe, and that Deere stocks parts for most/all of them!

MF 245 with power adjust rims settings?

The manual should indicate how much each hole gets you for adjustment. I'd imagine it's something like 2" per hole, 1" per side per hole that is. Since you only have two holes left you'll probably need to go all the way as narrow as possible to begin getting anywhere near your desired width...

Coolant temp gauge: reality check pls

If you're just poking the sender's terminal with the test light you're not going to get anything from your test light. The resistance is too high. Grounding the wire from the gauge should cause the gauge to peg. Since it doesn't that means bad gauge.

Have I shortened my lawn tractor life?

    Tractor Batteries

If the battery starts the tractor adequately, who cares if it's bigger/smaller/lighter/heavier/pink/purple/plaid? Complaining that you bought the wrong battery because you didn't do your homework first, and trying to blame it on Walmart, though. That seems a bit irrational. Not Walmart's fault...
