    this tractor i'm looking at is a 231 not 231s. $2000 is what they want for the 231 with frontend loader but hasn't been run in years. It ran when it was parked 5 years ago... so i'm told. it's been kept in a barn. not looking for pretty but it's gotta want to work

    they're about the same hp and both very standard. my mf-35 is tuff and gets it done. i'm thinking i'd like the 231 too. it's just to maintain 3 arces

    Hello. I have a MF-35 that is a work horse around home. Looking at a MF-231 to hopefully will buy. Is a MF-231 a newer version of the older MF-35 ? Is a 231 bit more tractor than a 35? They both have the 3 cylinder Perkins Thanks

    If I take that square plate off the bottom side of tractor would that allow access maybe to flywheel or a gear to get a pry bar to help get a wedge point to rotate engine?

    Could trans. be stuck in between 2 gear and jam the engine? I got the shifter working by lifting the rubber shift cover and spraying around the shift ball that had a little bit of grease on it. But when it did give it up, it first popped in neutral and I could move shifter from side to side...

    sorry no clutch inspection plate. That would be great. Lots of tractors have clutch inspection plates but lucky me this one don't. At the bottom of the tractor 6 o'clock there is a flat 1/4" thick and about 6 or 8" square that seems real close to the flywheel. Looks like I might be able to get...

    Got the shifter working slick but now the engine won't turn. I rotated the engine just a little when I bought it to make sure it wasn't stuck by pushing on the belt and grabbing the fan blade and was able to turn engine just enough to see it would rotate. Brought it home and hooked a good...
