3000 diesel pistons
Solved. The transfer pressure regulator was in backwards from prev owner. It's sticky as well. Cleaned it up best I can but ran it after clean up and is way better. Thanks- Benjaminearl

Digging up old thread. Have a 4.2 diesel I'm 555d hoe..high rpm sputter pop. Timing advance seems to not be working. Pull cap off advance cover and can push on the piston so it's moving..can't verify the other side since it's against block. Pulled the head locater bolt out and check ball. All...- Benjaminearl

Ford 4000 Diesel
I literally am dealing with a high rpm no load skip/miss. Just tested injectors brand new fuel system really think it's a timing advance issue but in the pump timing not the pump clock timing. Hydraulic fluid doesn't hurt engine?- Benjaminearl

CAv injection pump update!!!
Just curious. Did this tractor run but have a real bad sputter above 1500? Having the same issue. What did they find wrong on the pump? Thanks, Ben from NY- Benjaminearl
