john deere v8
I'm not looking to buy one, grandpa and I were talking about Deere V8s earlier today, I was sure I read someplace that the only one they made was in a 4x4 but grandpa thought there was an older two wheel drive that they stuck one in. Just wondering is all, we are not in the market for one- benn

dltx 34 or dltx 67?
a feww months a go I picked up a '49 B. the tractor was in non-running condition. i resently drug it into the shop to clean her up and see if it would run and found the carb in ruff shape. when i went to order carb kit i found out it has a dltx 34 carb off an older unstyled B. will the 34...- benn

points/ deere 70
the petronix system will work on my stock 70? does it require the flame thrower coil and wires? when i went to buy the tractor the points had to be cleaned before it would run, it then ran well, i went to deere and got plugs, condenser, and points. first i put in plugs and the tractor idled...- benn

i have a john deere 70 that i just bought and would like to tune up. my question is if all points where the same or if i should just go down to deere and get what they got. is there any performance options? i will be useing my tractor quite a bit so i would like to get all i can out of it...- benn

two cylinder points
i am new to points. i just picked up a '49 B and a '54 70. i want to tune up my 70. my question is is there any difference in points? is there anyplace that makes a better set of points or even a performance set or should i go to deere and get what they give me? i plan on useing my tractors...- benn
