    Allis chalmers g cultivator sweeps

I am looking for a place that has the 10 inch sweeps for the one row cultivator for the G. 12 inch would be better. I am converting it over to a field cultivator so I am going to swap out the front shovels.

Oliver 60 Radiator without buying an OEM

Has anyone tried to mock up a cheaper option than going in for a $1000-1700 radiator for a 1949 Oliver 60 row crop? I have considered making a box to hold the replacement and support the hood etc. Has anyone gone down that path and would they like to share? What did it cost you?

Wanting to sell a JD 246 planter and need a good market value

I have a shedded 2 row JD planter with plates. I believe it is a 246. It is a 3 pt hitch mounted unit. I used to plant sweet corn with it but I am out of that game now. I am making room in my shop and want to post an ad for it but I am not sure of its value. I have seen a range of $600 to $1500...

Please help me find Allis Chalmers G engine tractor

They are great one row garden tractors. We used ours for melon and pumpkin farming for years. I restored it in the 90s and then it was a parade girl and show tractor for a time. Now she is back cultivating pumpkins for me. Avoid ones that have had too much time with a sickle bar mower on them...

Series 1 D17 with Positive Ground and considering an Alternator conversion

Do I need to worry about RPM if I run the engine at 800 to 1200 regularly. I hear that one wire alternators need a rev-up at start and possibly are battery vampires when the engine is off.

Series 1 D17 with Positive Ground and considering an Alternator conversion

So I have to wire the key switch separately back to a 10SI Alternator to signal it to give output? Looking at something like this.. https://www.external_link/products/allis-chalmers-agco-allis-d17-tractor-alternator.html

Series 1 D17 with Positive Ground and considering an Alternator conversion

Yes they tested it. They have a machine that can spin it and check the output. I was present when they put it on the machine.

Allis Chalmers G: price and how to get attachments

That's too high. I have an old restore that has been a working tractor since. $4000 would pry most loose.

Series 1 D17 with Positive Ground and considering an Alternator conversion

My generator stopped putting out consistent and sufficient output. Shop says it may be hard to get parts post COVID19. I had the gen rebuilt about 8 years ago with no problem. Shop suggested I think about an alternator conversion but didn't know how it would handle a neg ground system. I...

    D17 Generator weak???

Thanks Dr. Allis, So I had the Generator tested at the local shop. It passed with flying colors. Put the genny back on, tested the connections, and put it back together with the intention of running bypasses of the electrical loom to check for faults. Didn't end up needing to. Kicked the...

    D17 Generator weak???

Did your test and no change in ammeter with the engine at 1600 and F terminal grounded off engine or battery. Tried to ground new voltage regulator directly. No change either.
