Case 430 one or two hydraulic pumps

Haven't had my 1967 430 apart yet but may have to for hydraulic issues. 3 point arms jump up and down while tractor is idling. Are there two hydraulic pumps or one? I believe they are mounted up front under gas tank. Thanks, Brian

    Which plow?

    Ferguson 12 AO 28 plow

Yeah an old Ferguson wouldn't likely handle a three bladed plow in my playground of clay. It is amazing what was done with little horsepower 50-60 years ago. How about those Farmall Cubs 11-12 hp with four cylinders? They sure are smooth running though.

    Ferguson 12 AO 28 plow

What a nice plow! Looks like it could sink an enemy ship if required to. I like the battleship gray. Brian

    Ferguson 12 AO 28 plow

Hello, Got this old Ferguson plow and wondered about the color. Looks like it is is a bluish green color. Maybe it was repainted or maybe down to primer after grey wore off? Maybe painted a ford color? Some red on the furrow wheel as well. Ferguson 12 AO (10?) 28 I think, tag was...

    Case 430 Draft-o- matic (1967) Hydraulics

My 430 hydraulics have slowed down a little. Some noise like hissing coming from the 3 point lift control valve and some fluid leaking. Back reservoir near front of seat (1-1/2" plug with dip stick) has a lot of fluid. It is above the notch on the dipstick. Is that notch the minimum level of...

    Case 430 Loader

Got myself a fixer upper loader and am looking for some information. Can someone tell me what model this loader is? Came off from a mid-1960"s Case 430. Are new decals available. Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

    Case 430 Starting Problems

I wasn"t able to get to the tractor yet. Probably next week. Was wondering if the solenoid on the actual starter is the suspect could I cross the two large studs on the solenoid (power cable stud and stud to the starter unit) with a plastic handled screw driver while turning the key? Is that...

    Case 430 Starting Problems

Forgot to mention... Good thought on the battery cables. I did checked all battery cables and replaced the crossover cable between the two batteries and the power cable to the solenoid. A local store made them. In the picture you can see on the power cable where the shrink wrap came loose. It...

    Case 430 Starting Problems

Thanks for all of the tips. I want to try the ideas now but the tractor is 100 miles away from where I live. Maybe next weekend. The manifold heater idea makes sense to me because the large wire from the small solenoid mounted on the side of the motor goes up and terminates on the top of the...

    Case 430 Starting Problems

I am not an experienced mechanic, but trying to learn more about my newly acquired Case 430 diesel (1967). I get a clicking sound when trying to start it. Sometimes it turns over and starts, but it mostly clicks. Dusted off the old dwell/tach/amp meter and checked a few things. There are 12 plus...
