    Certainly is "Retarded cam timing" if everything in the valvetrain and timing gears is factory. The stock camshaft in a M,Super M,400, or 450 doesn't even take up all the tappet clearance and start to open the valve until the crank has turned 31 degrees after top dead center. Good idea...
