    I have it on my 3 cyl 4000. How do you tell if it is working? In the 40's the other morning and I held it on for 40+ seconds and it didn't seem to help. Can you hear a burp when the fuel ignites? Or does the unit get hot?

    O-RINGS FOR FORD HYD. COUPLING

    Found o-rings for the Hyd coupling on my 4000. They are # 117, 90 Durometer, .799 ID X .103 diameter. I got 50 from Amazon and only needed 2. Send me a stamped envelope and a buck each. They are hard to find. Bill

    Remote spools on 4000, 3 cyl

    Thank you guys and I am confusing the couplings with the spools. The couplings look like spools so I thought I knew what I was talking about. DIDN'T!!!! Does the tractor end of the couplings come apart to install a new o-ring or does the 0-ring just slip on? Bill

    Remote spools on my 4000 are leaking when in use. I haven't taken the rubber grommet off to look at them yet, they appear to be a one piece unit. These are the ones that "break away" if you forget to unhook them, I presume "factory". Are parts available or do I just replace with a TC spool? Bill

    Changing canister oil filter to spin on

    I feel your pain. Ask at all the parts stores in your area. They know who are buying tractor parts. Might even check with the bigger farmers, however they probably have the repair guys under contract so you might wait awhile.

    Thanks for the replies. The starter was a little slow and I sure didn't hold the thermostart on long enough. Won't start it again till spring, then I will know what to do. Thanks again!
