    Military Funerals...........

    In my previous comments about the Marine who was killed , I forgot to mention his name and that he was one of the victims in the Chattanooga shooting. His name is Lance Cpl. Skip Wells and he will be buried today in our new National cemetary in Canton, Ga.

    Carb removal 1963 2000 4 cyl

    Not sure of brand. Are the 2 bolts at top of carb which are hard to access the ones to remove? Going to have carb rebuilt. Thanks for helping.

    Too much free electricity

    My wife and I were sitting on the front porch when a tall pine got struck about 100 ft from us. We both yelled an headed for the door where we got lodged in it trying to be the first one in. Still makes us laugh.

    WD-40 as diesel starting aid instead of ether

    Back when i worked on small engines we used wd-40 with the propane as the propellant and it worked fine especially on weed eaters and chain saws. Did not work at all when it was taken out. Used to find some of the good stuff at yard sales for a while but not any longer.

    I don't believe it.

    The mailman slogan goes something like, Neither snow,nor rain, nor heat nor gloom of nite shall keep them from delivering our mail. No mention of ice tho. I live north of Atlanta and this week ice stopped everything. No mail yet since Tuesday. Overall they do very well.

    Where does the white go when snow melts?

    When you turn the light switch off, the dark gets sucked up back into the bulb, that's why the bulb turns darker over time.

    Propane or Natural Gas? OT

    when the gas line was run down our road the hook up was $65, to run the 600 feet to our house was $500. I am glad we switched from propane to ng. We pay $.51 per therm. $4000 to hook up is silly.

    Rototiller Starting Problem

    Loosen the gas cap and try starting it. If it runs ok the vent in top of cap is stopped up. Run a little wire in the hole to clean it. Hope this helps.

    Old Thanks

    Started up my tractor this morning, ran about 50 feet and quit and wouldn"t restart. Remembered a bit of info you have told folks about a plugged gas cap. Cleaned by running a wire thru it and the old gal fired right up and away we went. Wanted to say thanks for helping me . Bill

    What did you get the Mrs. for X-mas?

    For our first Christmas I gave my wife a meat slicer. She said when she returned it she saw that it was the first things she saw when she went in the store. She still loves to tell that story after 49 years.

    How does the cover inside the distributor over the points come out? Is there a retainer holding it, don"t want to force it. Thanks for helping.
