    Just another thought, you could use your DVM or test light to check the switch is grounding out the points. Make sure the points are open, then look for continuity when you close the switch.

    Shorting out the points is the way to do it. You need a good ground on the engine block to one side of the toggle switch. And the lug on the side of the mag.

    The cam lobe comes off from the crankshaft. It is on upside down. When off, inspect the keyway in the crank, and also the tang on the cam lobe.

    Nice job on moving the muffler around. The preadator one is a nice place to accidentally put your hand. I've done it a few times even though it says 'Hot'

    Two wheeler

    I've had this two wheeler for many years. Just repowered with predator engine. Still works very good. The back half looks like Simplicity model D, the front is a David Bradley sickle mower.
