1401D wont start
You should shut it down by closing the throttle. If it idles instead of shutting down, change the position of the latch just below the key that blocks the throttle from going all the way to shut-off. Shouldn't use the compression release and the key just kills electrics not the engine. Good... -

Electrics - 1401D
The problem comes from sitting for much over a week. The battery is too week by then. Seems like there is a constant drain even when ignition is off. I've done some searching for a short with no luck. Any common points of drain to check? I'd rather the electrical be correct than add a patch if... -

Trans/Hydro Oil
I've seen all the posts about JD303 but my local JD dealership looked confused when I asked for it. They push Hy-GARD Transmission and Hydraulic Oil (TY6354). Anyone know if this is a reasonable substitute for JD303? Thanks... -

I've been looking at the 1300D's and would prefer this size tractor but it seems there are a lot more 1500D's available. Is there a big difference in parts availability and accessories between these two models? Thanks, Billy -
