8N towing with front brush guard ball

Ive used my 8N front trailer ball to move a utility trash trailer around my property, a fishin boat, and a pop up camper with no problems. But now I have a new 30ft RV that I want to move in and out of the barn when needed. Its too hard of a turning angle to use my truck. So my question is how...

    8N hoses collapsed

Engine died while brush hogging. Been running perfect ever since a redo during winter. Replaced everything and even added a temp guage. Wasnt hot, got gas, got spark, but did notice that both rad hoses were flat like from suction. It was gettin dark and was too hot to open the cap, so I will do...

    You gotta know your machine

My 8N does that sometimes. I think the float/needle seat gets stuck. If no flow out bottom plug, I tap on the body with a small hammer and it starts flowing again. Prolly rebuild it someday.

    Child proofing NAA

I had way too many experiences with kids... run down battery, pulled wires off, broken headlights, poured dirt in any open hole they found. My protections were to take the key, remove the battery, hidden disconnect switch etc and a few tail whoopins... well, threats to anyway haha. But what...

Anyone got ideas or home made radiator screens?

I know they sell clip on screens for the fronts of radiators, but I was just wondering if anyone has made their own design? I was thinking of some type of easily removable screen, maybe a tough wire mesh in a frame that would clip on the bumper. Lift it off, whack in on something to get rid of...

    8N to 12 volts

Hey Scope, I just went thru the same deal. Bought the conversion kit from this site and had the same question. Dell and Bruce have good answers, but I called customer service and spoke with Jeff. The existing oem ballast resistor is required, but they add the extra resistor in case it's needed...

    8N head bolt or studs/nut

I just bought a set of studs from this site and they worked just fine. Stay with the studs. I used a 1/2" drive stud puller after they soaked in penetrant a few days. On block holes that go into water jackets, use a non hardening thread sealer. Install studs dry on non jacket holes.

8N 12 volt conversion kit from YT

Ok this is probably weird, but maybe worth a try. I used ms windows paint (or paint brush) and drew out as best I could, a diagram of what I have to work with... minus the wiring. It is saved as a png file, so any version of paint should open it. I will attempt to attach it to this post... so...

    8N Neutral Start Switch

Howdy all. My semi redo of my front mount 8N is going pretty good. I am in the middle of installing the 12v conversion kit I bought from YT. The previous 6 volt set up was a typical shade tree hack job by some previous owner. It would start and run, but it had no resistor or terminal block, no...
