4010D hard to start
i posted a question for help on a hard starting 4010d a month back and got a lot of good suggestions. thanks to all. but after using the tractor for a month, i have got the wild idea that maybe the pump is turned up on this tractor and the excess fuel is putting the fire out or flooding the...- bkllv

4010 Diesel Hard to Start
After using the tractor a few times, i have come to conclude that the pump has been turned up and it puts the fire out or floods it during cold start. anyone know how to turn the pump back down to factory? THanks for all your replies and suggestions.- bkllv

4010 Diesel Hard to Start
I think the timed end injection stamped on the timing cover indicates that it has been converted to a speed advance pump and therefore is set at 8 degrees. Is this correct? Thanks to all for your responses.- bkllv

I just purchased a "63 4010 diesel. First tractor ever and first diesel ever so its all new to me. My problem is the tractor is very hard to start when cold. By cold I mean first use of the day and it can be 60 degrees or 80 degrees. When I bought it, it was probably 90 degrees and didn't...- bkllv
