1755 Fresh Overhaul Over Fuel ?

I just completed an in-frame overhaul with sleeves bearings and rings on my Waukesha 310. On my initial startup it's smoking white smoke consistently. There's zero blow by and I am thinking it is a fueling issue the smoke is really fumy not like water vapor. I didn't remove the fuel pump so I...

F925 76” need rear discharge spindle.

Deere does not have the spindle or shaft available anymore. Does anyone have a used deck sitting around? It has to be the 76" rear discharge.

Oliver 1755 brakes are very touchy

It looks like I will be pulling the calipers and checking for leaks and the pads shape. Maybe the pads are that bad that there is no slip at all? From what I read the smaller brake lines would cause the brakes not to release as fast. I am pretty sure mine has the larger lines anyway. Thanks for...

Oliver 1755 Diesel Mechanical Fuel Pump

I appreciate all the help. I just called Korves and they do not have a repair kit for the newer style pump. He indicated that they have had allot of issues with the pumps they have in stock leaking from the shaft as well. I am planning on removing the pump and taking it to the auto parts store...

Oliver 1755 brakes are very touchy

Ok another topic for the 1755. The brakes are very touchy. If i put any pressure on them at all it will lock the wheels up instantly. They have not had any issues releasing but is pretty violent when you press them. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Oliver 1755 Diesel Mechanical Fuel Pump

I have noticed my mechanical fuel pump is leaking out the gaskets. I looked it up online and if I go with a 1755 specific pump it is anywhere from $189 - $300. It looks like a simple mechanical pump I could get from Napa or Car Quest for less than $100. Has anyone had luck with an automotive...

Oliver 1755 White smoke from cylinder #2

Thanks for all the help. I am going to be using it some this weekend and then I will pull it back in and try the pressure test with the air hose. I did end up finding a compression tester that I can use so I will check it with that as well. Thanks

Oliver 1755 White smoke from cylinder #2

I pulled the exhaust manifold yesterday and found that cylinder 2 is puffing white smoke. I went ahead and pulled all of the injectors and took them to the local injector shop and had them cleaned, tested and set to the same psi. After re-install the tractor still smoked from cylinder 2. I also...

    Oliver 1755 Waukesha pre-purchase check

So just a follow up. I did end up purchasing the tractor and everything seems pretty good shape. The only issue I currently have is the steering is pretty loose feeling. I have narrowed it to the steering cylinder or the pump. I am currently pulling the front apart to get to the cylinder and...

    Oliver 1755 Waukesha pre-purchase check

I'm looking at buying an Oliver 1755 and I'm traveling quite a ways to get there. Are there any engine checks that I can do to see if the engine's been rebuilt before without tearing into it. What are some pointers that I should look at that would be high ticket items that I might be able to...
