A/C Delco Starter Distributor Condensor issues

So i should put power to the number two terminal all the time and the on the number one terminal should i run another circuit from positive with a light in series to excite the alternator? Is that how it would typically be done instead of using a switch?

Hey fellas, I got a wierd one for you. Just recently got my engine back from the engine shop. A full rebuild on an old Continental Z129 on a TO30. Spent way more on the rebuild than the darn thing was worth! Oh well, its done now. Anyways, i just put the whole tractor back together. It was...

TO-30 10 PSI Oil Pressure on Newly Rebuilt Motor

The machine shop said that on an engine that old, even after a full rebuild that I am not going to have more and 15 psi oil pressure. They assured me that they checked all the clearances and even bought a new crank that they didnt charge me for. That was because originally they didnt think...

TO-30 10 PSI Oil Pressure on Newly Rebuilt Motor

The Machine Engine shop also told me to do the break in on this old engine, it's best to put a load on it for break in. I was planning on hooking up my 4' finishing mower and mowing my pasture for an hour or two. What do you guys suggest?

TO-30 10 PSI Oil Pressure on Newly Rebuilt Motor

So do the 5-30 or just 30w just for break in? Then switch to something like 10w-40? By the way, the oil pump was replaced as well as part of the rebuild

TO-30 10 PSI Oil Pressure on Newly Rebuilt Motor

Thanks Bruce, so you suggest I drain out the synthetic and put regular 30W in? I did put a zinc additive for break in. What about the weight? should I not try the 10w 40 to try and get the pressure up?

TO-30 10 PSI Oil Pressure on Newly Rebuilt Motor

It currently has one of those spin - on adaptor kit, That is attached to a manifold with two passages going back into the engine ( which part I don't know ) this piece bolts to the block and the oil filter spin on to it for a seal.

TO-30 10 PSI Oil Pressure on Newly Rebuilt Motor

Thanks Steve, The machine shop did the complete rebuild, I just picked up the engine itself and bolted it back to the tractor with all the accessories. So, you think I should pull the gas tank and remove the valve cover to see if the rocker arms are being lubricated...

TO-30 Can't Find A Block! What are my options?

Graham - That would have been so perfect! Unfortunately, I live in Memphis, TN so that's about 11 hours away. I think I am goin to call them anyways just to see if I could get it for something reasonable and they might be open to shipping. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks again!

TO-30 Can't Find A Block! What are my options?

Correction Dan, according to their website they didn't. I called anyways as you suggested. They said it would take some time to break one down, but they could probably find me one. Quoted me $750 plus shipping. Gosh I sure was hoping to pay a lot less then that. After freight and tax, i'm sure...
