    the only wiring change I made was to take out the "old ceramic" resistor and put the new OEM one in it's place. everything else has stayed the same.

    yes all 4 lobes points are .015 light on top of test coil 'blinks' once when trying to start, but stays brightly lit. Just like when I am not cranking it.

    sorry my pictures are so large, not sure how to size them yet. I ohm tested the coil see the two pictures for details. Please note the settings on my meter and let me know if they are wrong, or if the coil is bad.

    ok home for lunch from work, cleaned and hooked up the battery properly, it turns the starter now. Could not get it to start. Tried to get fire to a plug, nothing. will try more when I get home for the day. any suggestions on what to test first?

    Ok received the parts today. The OEM resistor, and a rotor cap. installed rotor cap, made sure wires were correct positions. installed OEM resitor (I'll call it that for consistency sake) made sure key was off, installed the battery. hooked it up, checked voltage, 12.8 on battery...
