    G704 engine parts

Rings are NLA for the 4-1/4" bore diesels. Welter's were able to get me a custom set but they were expensive.

    MM reference books?

I suggest the hard cover book by Peterson and Beemer. The serial number reference in the back identifies UTS LP (Butane) production for 1941 to 1948 but after that they no longer specified fuel type.

    Rare MM G940

Your production numbers are correct. I've documented 6 of the 25 made so far. There's one coming up on an auction in OK soon too.

Planning to be there Friday afternoon-Saturday morning.

    ZTU battery box

The AC mag won't have the springs for the impulse weights like the original K4B4. You should be able to add them to the AC impulse so it will work in a vertical position on the Z engine.

Recommended Spark plugs for a ZTU

I looked at that cab many years ago. Was a big project to bring back to life. Did you get the rear door with it?

Recommended Spark plugs for a ZTU

Magnetos don't require an external coil. Sounds like someone has been messing with the ignition system. Hard to tell what you have. At some point I would switch it over to distributor or go back to a magneto. The combination you have now is only going to give you more trouble in the long run.

Needing a serial number list for White 1870/MM G955

I can't speak for the McCray list. The beginning and ending numbers really don't do much as you stated they're encompassing all models during that time frame. They were built in Charles City but for some reason the cards were lost. I suspect some resentment from Oliver folks caused them to be...

Needing a serial number list for White 1870/MM G955

Build cards don't exist for the G955/1355 tractors according to Floyd County Museum. The only thing I found in the museum's archives is a hand written sheet of serial number blocks and if they're MM/Oliver or White (Cockshutt). Based on that data, there were 503 G955 (yellow and green versions...

Needing a serial number list for White 1870/MM G955

402 is a trans code and is common on all/most 1870/G955.
