    by final i meant differential which is in rear housing with the transmission. front case houses hydraulic fluid and power director. i have run and still do run atf in transmissions in cars and transfercases in 4x4's. it tolerates heat better than gear oil. also the clutch pack in the power...

    got a service manual for my 175. it ststes that power director, hydraulics and pwr strg are in fromt case and separate from trans and final drive. pwr director to use atf type a and transmission to use gear oil but doesnt state sae wt. does this sound right and what wt gear oil would i use.

    i worked uaw years ago. seemed stupid for me to go in on overtime because someone else did. all people did ot if one did. even if i had no parts to assemble. 12hr ot while laying on a pallet napping.

    its diesel 248 i believe. where would the adjustment be. guess i need to get a manual for it. the tractor is good otherwise. starts below zero. strong hydraulics.

    my tractor continues to drive foreward with power director in neutral with pto engaged. a bit scary at times. have to stand on the brakes to stop. any easy fix there
