    What's the purpose of the resistor in the circuit that goes from the ignition swith to the coil? I have a 3010 gas, 12v positive ground, and electronic ignition. I have about 12.8v at the battery, and 8-9v at the coil. Is that normal or is that low?

    I'm getting around 12.5 or so volts across the battery (new) and at the starter. Today I measured the voltage at the negative terminal of the coil (I have a 12v positive ground system), and it is measuring between 8-9 volts. Seems like that's low?

    How do you tell if the generator is working? (The light is on). I measured at the battery with the ignition off and measured 12.86v. With the tractor running it measured 12.55v.
