    rear seal

    Just changed the clutch in my 1949 C & changed the rear seal with a neoprene type, it is leaking worse than the old rope type seal. What could be the cause of the leak ? Does it have to have the rope type seal to stop the leaking ?

    low oil pressure

    Does AC make a hi & low pressure gauge. There is'nt any numbers on this AC gauge. Can I get to the oil pump screen by removing the oil pan ??

    It barely comes off the line when cold & pretty much stays there. I dont have numbers on the gauge. Can I get to the oil pump filter by removing the oil pan ??Maybe it's sludged up restricting the flow .

    I have a 1949 "C" that shows little to no oil pressure when running. It has the correct filter & new AC gauge. Should I put a heavier oil in it or stay with 30wt. Tractor runs good - smokes some but over all starts & runs good.

    Hey Dick, the pin fit good in the worm gear. It couldn't have been any bigger or it might have bound up. You have a PM when you get time.The slack is still in the box . I put the pin on vice grips & put it down in the worm gear & turned the wheel it was a good fit. Yea, you where still about 5...

    Just replaced the steering pin or pawl in the steering box - still have the slack in the steering wheel ! I jacked the front end up & not much movement in the front wheels - some slack in the joints not much. I guess a little slack here & there adds up. The old pin was worn bad but the new...

    Trying to reposition the wedges where they go and this one split.Someone didn't have them put on right. I need one like on the wheel in the pic - does anybody have one for sale?

    Removing steering tube tool box on C Pic

    Tank is off- I just slid the tool box & tube off together. The tube wouldn't come thru the oblong hole in the tool box .

    Yea I just pulled the tube & tool box off together & pulled the steering box off the tractor. Thought it might be better for me since i've never done this before.
