Generator
I had the generator rebuilt and put in a new regulator but the gen doesn't seem to be charging the battery. How do I check the generator output with my voltmeter? I'm not sure if it's a generator or a regulator problem- bobrose

Two problems: 1. New regulator and rebuilt generator but with the tractor running, always a negative discharge. How can I simply check generator output with my volt meter. 2. Big problem...new head gasket. Head and block looked flat, clean and no evidence of cracks. Cleaned everything well...- bobrose

Super A hydraulic pump
My pump was leaking hyd fluid into the engine oil. I took it apart and found the o ring was shot but also wore a grove in the pump drive gear shaft. There's not enough clearance for a wear sleeve. Can metal be welded to the shaft then machined back to original OD?- bobrose
