Farmall Super M clutch pedal sticks when engaging

My Super M has an issue when releasing the clutch. I can fully depress the clutch pedal, put in any gear and when I release pressure on clutch gradually, it gets stuck on the upward travel before engaging. I have to stick my boot under the pedal to release it. There is an snap or popping and it...

    WD6 starting procedure

50 years ago, I remember the WD9 starting. As a matter of fact , I even have the operating book for it. It says to move the compression lever (left) down to the gas starting position. Position the engine speed control lever (right)down to the starting position. If equipped with electric start...

How do I know it is a Super M?

A picture is worth a thousand words. This picture is of a Super M. The plate near the starter is stamped FBK SM7510. You can see that it is a stage 1 with an optional live hydraulic. The seat has a mid mounted shock absorber and the battery is mounted under the gas tank. The right rim and tire...

    Hauling M tractor

Unless you are going to be hauling it regularly, I recommend you rent or borrow a trailer similar to mine. It has tandem 7000 pound axles and electric brakes. I hauled a Super M. It had calcium chloride in the tubes. I had about 4 inches to spare between the tire and trailer pipe rail. I would...

    live hydraulic question

I have removed a front end loader which was driven off of a live hydraulics in the picture. I do not want to damage the pump. Is there any thing I should do to protect the pump when running dry? The FEL was the resevoir.

    Farmall H carb.

Is it leaking, or running, out of the air intake port? Or, is it dripping from the "load screw"? I just rebuilt a Super M IHC carb which had a bad needle valve. Gas was running out of the air intake (hose removed). Another post a few days ago, pintobill, had gas dripping from the load screw...

M fan blade, new or used ??

I am in the process of replacing parts after my M fan blade broke. It separated 2 blades at high idle due to over rev and hair line cracks in the blade. It took out the radiator, shroud and of course the blade. My concern and question is: should I put on a new blade as sold on this site or be...

Super M lost a fan blade

Thank you for the words of wisdom. I removed the fan belt this morning and saw that 2 blades were missing. Im glad I found the second before my mower did. The cause was that the rebuilt carburetor was miss adjusted. I backed out the idle adjustment screw and every thing calmed down when I...

    Barn Fire

What a shame. I told my wife that I was pretty lucky. I only lost a fan blade that went into the radiator on my Super M. I have insurance for fire and theft on all of my tractors. It is not that expensive and hope I never use it. I have neighbors that are stupid enough to let their kids shoot...

Super M lost a fan blade

I have been trying to bring back a Super M to life. Actually got it started today. Even though the throttle was set to low, the engine revved up. By the time I hit the kill switch, one blade of the fan broke off, It took out the shroud and radiator. What would cause a fan to break a blade off?
