    OT Old cars, photos

I am nearly 100% certain the car is a MAXWELL of a 1918 era model. I enhanced the pic and am satisfied with the identification.

    OVER POSTING RANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are there no rules against a clown posting 22 individual ads for parts all from one tractor in the same day ? MAYBE it"s something in the water down there ? Took up lots of space others may have put to better legitimate use.....Just my thoughts, anyone else have a like point of view ? Thanks.

    Ot, gas station question,

I am guessing that the Valero you are referring to is the one out of Mexico that has an Ethenal Plant about 16-18 miles west of Fort Dodge Iowa on hwy 20. (and other areas also) On the daily farm market they post prices for Corn, usually a little higher than the elevators. I have friends living...

    Today's load of Green Gold

Spent a good part of the day loading, hauling, (twenty five miles from home) and stacking some beautiful, fourth cutting, leafy Alfalfa hay in the haymow. Hard to find and "PRICEY" but worth it.

I don"t have a picture to post but will try to come up with one for another post but growing up on a farm in Iowa, like most in those days we had hogs, cattle and we all had work to do on the farm. I remember well putting up loose hay stacks out in the field for the milk cows. Instead of a hay...

    john deere 2510 paint

Greg, In my opinion Mark-Ia has it nailed ! If properly prepped and applied John Deere paint will last and look good for many years to come....... AS LONG IT IS PROTECTED FROM THE ELEMENTS, and kept clean to protect the finish. Over the may years I have used JD paint with much success and also...

New Iowa law about ball mounts in receiver hitches??

I am from Iowa and was told about that about a month ago. Was also told the fine for driving around with the ball in place was $175. Guess the DOT needs more funds coming in.

    Painting question

rr,lund, I look at it a little differently than you I guess. It"s not that you MUST have hardener but it will make the paint more durable and look better and last longer, also makes a much better finished product. I would say the small additional cost of the hardner would be kind of like buying...

J.D. Seller? or Other J.D. Men

Have had many 2 cyl JD tractors with roll-o-matic front. I had a 6X6 about three foot long with a foot long bevel cut on one end. Drive the good tire up the bevel, change the flat, back off block. Not rocket science. Just my thought.
