    One more thing: I replaced the factory shifter/solenoid in the late '70s with an off the shelf Ford solenoid, mounted under the battery. And I replaced that with a new one in '03. Will this work ok with 12 volts?

    Forgot a couple things: So the kit at the top of this page will work fine on the TO-20 except for brackets? Just wanted to confirm, because it says TO-30 ONLY. They maybe should make a note about this on the ad. Also, the 6v. starter will hold up fine with 12 volts?

    n my TO-20, the number one plug wire is at the 7:00 position on the distributor. (This may vary a bit depending on where the timing is set, but shouldn't be off much.)

    Am I missing something here or what? If you take the wheels off, turn them 180 degrees and mount on the opposite side of the tractor you will end up with the same width, but the treads will be backwards. But if you just switch the wheels from one side to the other without rotating them...

    have used both and prefer propane. I have a ventless wall heater and it works great, no noticeable fumes. But I made sure my shop is not real air tight. >> when oil prices go up so does propane i don't get it. That's because propane is made from crude oil.
