Gosh I hope it's none of those things at 895 hours!! It does become less obvious at high idle or high RPM. It's lessened, but doesn't go away. Anything I can try prior to invasive repairs?- brazosdog

I am not familiar with tractors of this vintage, but the exhaust note doesn't sound right and it seems like it smokes more than I would expect with a low hour machine. Yes. All free play was adjusted prior to second stage. Adjusting free play almost was enough but I went ahead and made the second stage adjustment. Im going to run with it.- brazosdog

Good to know. Yeah, mine is mechanical. Forward is ground speed and rearward is engine speed for the PTO.- brazosdog

Idle adjustment on Mahindra?
I have a very obvious high idle set screw, but there is nothing for the low idle anywhere. So, I guess this is internal somehow? It’s a 3505DI and the pump says Mico Bosch 25 and a lot of other numbers on the tag. I’d like to kick the idle up to spec around 750 as it’s a hair low just no screw... -

Golden Jubilee rear axle three point damage/mod
Yeah. My FIL used the tractor a lot when he set it up. I am a bit concerned with the 'ease' in which I can turn over the motor by grasping the fan blade. It does not have that 'resistance' or 'pop' feel as a motor with compression would. We'll see when I get it cleaned up and a leak down... -

I don't know if I can use it at all. The machine has been sitting for 20 years with a gas tank that has a hole in the top. Fluids look OK, but it is like any old neglected machine. I want to check the motor out, if it's shot, it's worth more as scrap. -

WIerd. Looks like they busted the original mount on the housing. Perhaps the linkage is original. They brazed the broken link, then ran a stainless rod to both ends and then angle iron back to two more mounts. Aside from looks, which I'm not a fan of, its probably stronger than it was. I'll...
