Ford 3000 diesel select O speed

That would be great. I really appreciate it. There are a few machine shops in my area that are really but they may not know exactly what I'm trying to accomplish without a lengthy explanation. Sounds like the guys you have mentioned have done it a few times. Thank you

Ford 3000 diesel select O speed

Good morning. Back in June/July I ask some questions about a 1966 Ford 3000. I had the head checked out and I went ahead and had a valve job done. Project got put on hold till yesterday. Bright and early I pulled the motor and disassembled it. It looks really good but it's going to need to be...

    Ford 3000 diesel

I have acquired a 1966 ford 3000 select-o-speed diesel project. It came from an older fellow in my community who has had it for 25 plus years. All its been used for is finish mowing. While mowing one afternoon it started missing real bad, then a big puff of white smoke. He immediately shut it...

    1966 Ford 3000

Ultra dog, There doesn't seam to be a ridge. I'm going to do a little more investigating and take some measurements of the bore and go from there. I'll keep your offer in mind. I love digging into this stuff to speculate what may have been done to the tractor in the past. For instance I have a...

    1966 Ford 3000

I agree Sean. When I get a chance Im going to clean the block off and do a good check. If it does have sleeves theyve been done more than 25 years ago. I really hope it does have sleeves that will make the rebuild a whole lot easier

    1966 Ford 3000

Good point. I only looked at them. I was hoping to see something that really stuck out. I plan on taking it apart and doing a thorough run down. The previous owner ran this tractor for the last 25-30 years with only a water pump and the three point lift rebuild. It's had regular maintenance and...

    1966 Ford 3000

I just acquired a Ford 3000 Select o Speed Diesel with a knock. The tractor has been partially taken apart. I've checked rod bearings and they don't look bad. All the valves move and there is no obvious damage that I can see. Here is something that I've noticed. While turning the engine over...
