    Lost mechanical arts

Last night I had a minute so I adjusted the brakes on the '35 Chevy grain truck. I use it to chore when I feed square bales and the pedal was starting to get low. I was thinking about how so few people there are probably left that know how to work on mechanical brakes with their adjustable rods...

JD Model H blown head gasket?

Unfortunately I did have it in high gear when it all happened. Again this is very vexing.

JD Model H blown head gasket?

That certainly is a possibility. I'll take it apart and see what I find. But the part that gets me is still why the differential was acting that way when I was towing on a straight piece of asphalt. What's to stop the same thing from happening again once I repair the motor?

JD Model H blown head gasket?

It only took 2 qts. before dribbling out the fluid level check spot next to the flywheel. I assumed there was...

    1941 John Deere Model H

I just rebuilt the engine in this thing after it had sat for about 30 years. Runs like a champ! But I cannot get an answer on a particular question. There is a housing that the magneto mounts to as well as the fan drive. It has a large threaded cap on it that some sort of fluid goes in...
