6v sprayer pump or 6 to 12 boost converter, pto conversion?

So in your experience do I need to find a specific 1,000 rpm reverse rotation pump? Or can I run a typical roller pump? And is that a specific adapter you particularly like? I can look into either just figured I'd pry for more direct experience.😂 Thanks!

6v sprayer pump or 6 to 12 boost converter, pto conversion?

That's something I've considered too. It's great to know your experience with respect to how long and what pressure you can run at, etc. Thanks!

6v sprayer pump or 6 to 12 boost converter, pto conversion?

Thanks all for the comments!! So I was under the impression I couldn't use a pto pump without a reverser - but it sounds like that's not the case! That would be great news. So I just need the adapter for the pto shaft/spline pump connection. And a roller pump that will operate on reverse...

6v sprayer pump or 6 to 12 boost converter, pto conversion?

Hi All, We recently picked up a Cub and will begin using it to cultivate mixed vegetables, etc. (we also use a Super A). We have a pto powered belly spray system set up for our Super A and would like to set up a belly spray system for the Cub. The Cub pto doesn't seem useful in this regards...

Farmall Super A - Ignition Switch

Was hilling potatoes tractor running smoothly and then suddenly quit. No sputter, no misfiring. Straight quit. Now won't start. Notice ammeter needle does not move when I open the ignition plunger. Aside from that being odd.(and new) Everything seems in order. The starter is cranking...

Super A Final Drive and Seed Plate Drive Bushing

Ongoing saga of mounting a Cole Side Dresser on our '48 Super A.... So I've tracked down the seed plate drive shaft bushing/bolt/washer and seal. The problem is that the bushing which has a "receiver"/oblong hole on one end, that is supposed to slide over the end of the left side final drive...

Farmall Super A - Seed Plate Drive / Side Dresser Seed Pl...

Thanks Jim - I actually don't have the manual showing the seed drive components itself so have been searching "secondary". It's good to hear a solid run down.

Hi Folks, I'm mounting a Cole side dresser on our Farmall Super A. I'm uncertain as to the ultimate parts I need - any insight much appreciated! I have the drive gear itself. This drive gear attaches to the tractor on the interior rear left axle. The original manual shows a picture of the...

Farmall Super A - No Spark

Thanks all - moron (me) had the coil flipped also went and did the points too. I was still getting spark but the old ones where real bad looking - the two points had actually "mushed" each other out of shape from years of impact I guess. Anyway have good spark all around. Now seem to be...

Farmall Super A - No Spark

Hi all... I have a Farmall Super A. Ran fine all season, sat for a bit and now it won't start. Checked plugs, etc. and had weak irregular spark. Decided everything was due and replaced plugs, wires, coil, cap and condenser. Now it still won't start and I have very irregular to...

    Lead Substitute - Yea's or Nay's

Thanks for all the thoughtful replies. It seems pretty much by consensus that I can probably throw those few bucks in the coffee can for a rainy day!

    Lead Substitute - Yea's or Nay's

Yea something about trying to grow vegetables for a living while raising a family gets in the way of reading as many posts as I might like. But anyway...."gas guzzler" is a relative term. And I used it very loosely. The tractor actually does quite well on gas. It doesn't compare to the...

    Lead Substitute - Yea's or Nay's

Hello old tractor drivers! I'm interested in whether folks are using or not using Lead Substitute (or other additives) when they're running older tractors. I never have in the past but on a solid recommendation I've just started adding a lubricity formula to our diesel tractor and I'm curious...

    Super A - Wasn't Starting - Happy New Year!

Most of the Carb's have the manufacturer stamped on them someplace. Zenith, Carter, and Marvel are the ones I'm aware of. They also should have a serial number on them someplace which would allow you to track down either a replacement or a rebuild kit. I've learned the gist of any...

    Super A - Wasn't Starting - Happy New Year!

Just a quick update for all that were helping out and following along. The Super A that I"d been stumped on starting is now running and running well. Happy New Year! What exactly the problem was will remain a bit of a mystery. Electrical system, air intake, fuel, etc. was all checking out...
