    Well there is two ways to look at it. You can buy a tractor that is in good condition knowing the history of it and pay market value or a little more and hopefully turn out alright. Or you can buy one with no history,rough condition ,more hours for less and start praying.I have done both and...

    Crop report

    Northeast iowa boy started yesterday 110 bu 20% mois. 58 lb test weight. This field was planted april 15 tasseled the 2-4 july in 100 degree heat. Had around 3.5 inches of rain from end of june to the middle of august.

    this was weird

    Four years ago i drove 3 hours to look at a Harley Davidson Ultra. After neg and talking for awhile we agreed on 13000.00. I told the guy i would take bike with me and when the check cleared he would mail me the title. Alittle trust on both sides. I also sold my line of machinery off a few years...

    190xt allis, any good?

    We had a 190 xt diesel on a 327 deere baler for years. Not a better tractor for fuel use and comfort on a square baler.

    Installing field drainage tile

    Guys I help out have a Bron 550 with a 500hp cummins and weighs around 85000 lbs. On a really good day can pull in 20 to 25 coils of 4 inch 60-80000 feet. Thats on a virgin farm with two stringing trailers and 3 backhoes digging juctions and back filling. Asked the boss what 4 inch was installed...
