    Water in Oil

Dropped the pan and saw a few drops of water around #2 and #3 sleeve. Suspect the o-rings may be leaking a little. I'll have to add this to the list of things to fix in the near future. Thanks!

    Water in Oil

I'll drop the oil pan later today and let you know what I see. I've replaced a sleeve once.

    Water in Oil

I have a TO-20. Enough water to make the inside look like a milkshake.

    Water in Oil

Drained oil and water preparing for winter. After adding water, noticed water in the oil. Have not started the engine yet. Could this be due to a water pump failure or something worse? Thanks!

    Radiator Blowing Water

My 1951 TO20 is blowing water out the radiator overflow pipe when the engine has warmed up. It mostly occurs when the tractor is under a load or going up a hill. No temperature gauge, but stuck a thermometer in the top of the radiator and it only showed about 140 degrees. Flushed cooling...

    Runs Better on 3 Cylinders

Hmm, I had that thought too. Everything there checked out okay. Forgot to mention that all four plugs have good spark.

    Runs Better on 3 Cylinders

I"m having a problem getting my 1951 TO-20 to run. Over the year, had head rebuilt and replaced a cylinder sleeve. Now it does not want to run. Very hard to start and keep running. Was checking the spark with one of the plugs removed and the darn thing started right up. I repeated this with...

    Oil Pickup Brass Fitting

Thanks for the part number. That should help me track it down. If it helps, my lawn tractor is a Deere. :)

    Oil Pickup Brass Fitting

    Oil Pickup Brass Fitting

Can anyone tell help me get the size and where to buy a brass fitting? This threaded fitting connects to the oil pickup horizontal tube between the oil pump and the vertical pickup tube. This is the fitting at the vertical tube (not the one at the oil pump). It looks like different sizes on...

    Oil Pump Rebuild

I'm still working on my lack of oil pressure problem. I now have the oil pump removed and would like to inspect and rebuild it. Is there a trick to removing the screws that hold the oil pump cover plate? They are not willing to move. Either I must be getting weak or missing a trick. Any hints...

    Oil Pressure Port

I have a TO-20 with no oil pressure. Trying to troubleshoot the problem and suspect the oil galley is plugged. Can the oil pressure port on the side of the block be removed? Is it threaded or held in place some other way? I want to make sure the galley is open by blowing air through it...

    Oil Pressure

I need some help with an oil pressure problem. After installing a new sleeve, piston, and valve train, the TO20 started right away. After my initial excitement, I noticed the Oil Pressure guage was reading 0. No oil pressure :( I have cleaned the pump, inlet tube, oil relief valve, and...

    Sleeves out

I just removed a sleeve from my TO-20 with the engine in-frame. I split a piece of wood using a hammer and switched to a 1" diameter cast iron pipe. The pipe and hammer did the trick. Good luck.

    TO20 Sleeves

Thanks for the good news. I was worried about the OD being different. I'll drop the pan and start collecting all the pieces.
